Alice in Chains: Alice in Chains (1995)

alice in chainsBy Scott Goldfine

Alice in Chains, the 1990s answer to Black Sabbath, has released their first full-length album in four years. Fans will be tickled as “Alice in Chains” sports all the qualities you’d expect from the Seattle doom-and-gloom rockers — chugging guitars, brooding rhythms, ominous vocals and foreboding lyrics.

The singing is a bit droning, otherwise it’s an eximious metallic stew.
