Allman Brothers: Where It All Begins (1994)

allmans where it all beginsBy Scott Goldfine

The Allman Brothers Band’s new album is a testament to the venerable Southern rock group’s enduring presence as one of the most highly skilled ensembles in contemporary music. The band is so precise that it cut the LP live in studio with no overdubs, a rate feat these days.

While not as gritty as some of the Allman’s prior work, the disc is filled with fluid guitar and multilayered percussion.
