Four years after his last release, pop icon Michael Jackson serves up “Dangerous,” his first LP without producer Quincy Jones.

The Gloved One clearly exhibits he hasn’t lost the knack to turn out finely crafted songs. “Remember the Time” is one of several fine uptempo tunes, while “Will You Be There” has a rousing spirituality.

But some of this set’s 77 minutes is rounded out with filler.
