By Scott Goldfine

Jazz-R&B guitarist Paul Jackson Jr. has enlisted many of the talented friends he’s made the past 15 years as a highly regarded session player for his fourth album, “Never Alone/Duets.” Seasoned pros such as Earl Klugh, Joe Sample, Howard Hewett and George Duke assist Jackson, who at his best recalls George Benson, for 10 tracks of pleasant if somewhat nondescript “quiet storm”-ready contemporary jazz.
