Public Enemy: Greatest Misses (1992)

public enemy greatest misses

By Scott Goldfine

Socially and politically outspoken rap group Public Enemy’s “Greatest Misses” is a 50-50 combination of new songs and remixes of offbeat, previously released material. The new stuff is first-rate, marked by leader Chuck D’s striking lyrics and the act’s continuing musical maturation.

An entire LP at this level could’ve been PE’s best ever. Too bad the rest is a retread.
