It’s not until the fifth song of this 12-track set that superband U2 gets uncorked. But once they do, it’s quite a ride. On the group’s much-ballyhooed wade into techno-dance, it’s the midtempo “Staring at the Sun” that stokes the quartet’s dynamic passion.

From that point, lyrics about pop culture, introspection and spirituality front music that shows the boys from Dublin have still got it.
