Irish rock band U2 returns to the limelight with a two-record set of live and studio numbers. “Rattle and Hum,” which also serves as the soundtrack for the band’s concert film of the same name, is a stirring collection of socially conscious rock.

U2 is more assured than ever with songs such as “Hawkmoon 289” and “When Love Comes to Town” showing them reaching their creative zenith.
