Traditionally, black music artists have received scant coverage when it comes to published works documenting their creative travails. Bucking the trend is “#1 Bimini Road,” a journal that revisits the late 1970s heyday of funkmeister George Clinton and his band, Parliament-Funkadelic.
While the text is less than insightful, Diem Jones’ photos are as colorful as Clinton’s P-Funk experience.
