Robert Duvall stars as a good ol’ boy from Arkansas who discovers his birth mother was black in this entertaining drama. Faced with the prospect of having lived a lie, Duvall goes to Chicago to look up his black half-brother (James Earl Jones), who’s less than thrilled to meet him.
Gradually, the brothers realize they have more in common than they thought. This warm film, co-written by Billy Bob Thornton, has fine performances. Rated PG-13.
