About music reviews: These entries are comprised of original album and concert reviews across a broad range of artists written by music and film critic Scott Goldfine. They include all genres of music rather than necessarily representing the reviewer’s personal preferences (see reviewer’s profile for that).
Many of the entries date from 1987-1998 during Goldfine’s tenure as columnist with now-defunct Inside Music & Video magazine and as entertainment editor for SilentRadio, both based in Southern California. Reviews for the latter were limited to about 400 characters and so are concise but extremely succinct. They appear just as originally written and so some of the references are of that time.
These reviews have been unavailable since the late 1990s and had to be painstakingly input from the lone existing original printout copies. They now enter the digital age for all to discuss, debate and enjoy. Links are provided to stream or purchase albums from Amazon.
