Little Debbie grows up. Former child prodigy-turned-teen idol Debbie Gibson adopts a more mature look and sound for her fourth album. The singer-keyboardist procures a dance-pop framework to spin her most explicit lyrics ever on songs about love, equality and date rape.
It’s a polished effort, but Gibson seems stuck in an identity crisis, too often cloning Janet Jackson, Sheena Easton and others.
