Jeff Bridges stars as a survivor of a jetliner crash in this emotionally charged entry from director Peter Weir (“Witness”). Afflicted with post-traumatic stress disorder, Bridges struggles with denial and reality while his family and a psychologist reaches out to him.
The cast excels, including Rosie Perez as a fellow survivor, but this film is a bit too gut-wrenching and unpleasant. Also stars Isabella Rossellini, Tom Hulce, John Turturro and Benicio Del Toro. Rated R.
