It’s finally happened. With “Voodoo Soup,” the seemingly endless flow of posthumous Jimi Hendrix releases has begun to devour itself. Principally culled from a handful of LPs issued after the guitar genius’ 1970 death, these remastered tracks are purportedly intended to represent Hendrix’s direction at the time of his demise.
Motives and artistic correctness aside, the music is wonderful.
