“This Is How We Do It” may still be ringing in your brain, but R&B singer Montell Jordan has moved on with his sophomore effort, “More to Tell.” While nothing on this disc matches the indelible hook of that smash hit, overall it improves upon his otherwise marginal debut. Jordan, who at his best evokes the Gap Band’s Charlie Wilson, breaks the rote R&B mold on tracks like “Falling” and “I Like.”
