Brad Renfro (“The Client”) is an outcast who befriends Joseph Mazello (“Jurassic Park”), an 11-year-old stricken with AIDS, in this touching drama. Dogged by communal ignorance over the disease, the boys try everything from gorging on candy and plant leafs to traveling to New Orleans in an effort to find a cure.
Somewhat routine, this film’s strong acting makes for an affecting experience.
