This film, set in 1971, follows a band of dope fiends who roam about Oregon knocking off drugstores to stay on a permanent high. As told from the perspective of the gang leader (Matt Dillon), it’s an unabashed look at junkie life.
Injected with liberal does of black humor and irony, this Gus Van Zant movie is refreshingly off-center. Kelly Lynch, James Le Gros, Heather Graham and James Remar also star. Rated R.
