James Spader is splendid as a brooding, repressed businessman whose life is capsized by a sociopath (Rob Lowe) in this suspense yarn. Lowe Lures Spader into a web of decadence that leads to murder and a battle of wits between the two.
This film is engrossing and intriguing, but you must make some big leaps of faith. Directed by Curtis Hanson (“L.A. Confidential”).
