William Blake (Johnny Depp) is an accountant who travels west and becomes an unlikely outlaw in this unusual western from filmmaker Jim Jarmusch. Wounded and with a bounty on his head, the accountant is aided by a Native American who believes he’s the dead English poet William Blake.
Shot in black and white and infused with dark humor, this slow movie is provocative yet scarcely entertaining. Crispin Glover, Lance Henriksen, John Hurt, Robert Mitchum, Iggy Pop, Gabriel Byrne and Jared Harris also show up.
