First-time filmmaker Michael Corrente revisits the New York neighborhood of his youth in this low-budget drama about five hoodlum pals. At the heart of the film is an ill-fated romance between a drug dealer (Anthony De Sando) and an Ivy-League girl and the struggled of a thief (Nicholas Turturro) dealing with his inconsolably depressed father.
It’s effective, but nothing that hasn’t been done better. Rated R.
