Cool J, who renewed his popularity two years ago with the double-platinum “Mama Said Knock You Out,” returns with the ferocious “14 Shots to the Dome.” One of the first to transcend rap as a teenager in the mid-1980s, L.L. nearly became a casualty of the fad-conscious genre’s short attention span.
This LP is a good choice for those who like their rap hardcore, catchy and superiorly delivered.
