Heartland singer-songwriter Melissa Etheridge has followed up her 1993 multiplatinum breakthrough “Yes I Am” with the mediocre “Your Little Secret.” Coming across like a female Bryan Adams, Etheridge sticks mostly to relational themes on 10 songs performed with conviction but mired in conventionalism.
Still, the title track is a decent rocker and “It Could Have Been You” boasts some dramatic flair.
