Cheech Marin mugs his way through “The Shrimp on the Barbie,” an uncommonly inane comedy. Set, for no apparent reason, in Australia, Cheech is hired by a girl to pose as her offensively obnoxious fiancé to make the oaf she really wants to wed seem much more appealing to her rich dad.
As predictable as night after sunset and as listless as a boxer down for the count, this one’s a disaster. Emma Samms is the female lead. Rated PG-13.
