Director Tobe Hooper (“Poltergeist”) teams up with Robert Englund (Freddy Kruger of “A Nightmare on Elm Street”) in this dreadful horror vehicle based on a Stephen King short story. Englund plays the evil owner of an industrial laundry that houses the “mangler,” a gigantic sheet press possessed by demonic forces.
The film’s scariest aspect is that the end leaves open the possibility of a sequel. Rated R.
