Featured in TIR Episode 260 (2 parts): Producer, artist and DJ Ben Cenac, better known as Cozmo D – and best known as a primary member of 1980s electro-funk hip-hop group Newcleus. The group rocked radios, clubs and parties across the nation with the 1984 classic, “Jam on It” and also gained notoriety with tracks like “Jam on Revenge (the Wikki-Wikki Song),” “Computer Age (Push the Button),” “Destination Earth” and “Automan.”
Newcleus has continued to perform and a couple of years ago dropped the “Summer of ‘79” single. Here, Cozmo lays down some serious hip hop history and knowledge.
