This rap documentary soundtrack serves up 15 cuts of mostly quality performances. Veterans (KRS-One, A Tribe Called Quest), new schoolers (MC Eiht, Mack 10) and neophytes (Crucial Conflict, Delinquent Habits) pitch in. Despite a spotty first half, songs like 8Ball & MJG’s “Reason for Rhyme” and Volume 10’s “Liquor Store Run” help the LP stand out from the recent deluge of mediocre soundtracks.
