“Family Style” is the last studio effort from recently deceased guitar great Stevie Ray Vaughan. The disc also marks the first collaboration between the blues artists and his older brother, Jimmie Vaughan, formerly of the Fabulous Thunderbirds. The results are decidedly mixed.
Producer Nile Rodgers gives the project a little too much gloss, with the highlights surfacing on the LP’s four instrumentals.
