Rock singer/songwriter Billy Idol returns after a lengthy absence with “Charmed Life.” The sneering performer’s snarling vocal style is showcased on 11 tracks, most of which convey lovemaking themes.
While this LP lacks the immediacy of his earlier work, tunes such as “The loveless” and “Trouble With the Sweet Stuff” should keep the faithful satiated.
