Christopher Lambert stars as an inmate in a futuristic prison in this chilling sci-fi thriller from director Stuart Gordon (“Re-Animator”). Lambert, incarcerated because his wife exceeded the one-pregnancy limit, is in a world where prisoners carry painful “infestinators” inside them and troublemakers undergo “mind wipes.”
A compendium of many films’ ideas, “Fortress” is a disturbing vision. Gordon buddy Jeffrey Combs is also featured. Rated R.
