The Godfather of Funk, George Clinton, brought his army of funkateers to Hollywood’s House of Blues Friday as a break from his Lollapalooza trek. Adorned in Walt Disney bed sheets, an incredibly tireless Clinton led his 20-piece band through three-and-a-half hours of relentless pure funk.
Classics like “(Not Just) Knee Deep” and “Tear the Roof Off” soared, despite the absence of ailing frontman Garry Shider.
