Daryl Hall and John Oates, one of the most successful duos ever, have stripped down their sound a bit on their 19th LP, “Change of Season.” The tunes, predominantly about relationships, are a throwback to the act’s early years of soulful, mature pop.
Although nothing here is as winning as their old standard “Sara Smile,” several tracks do have merit.
