Nirvana, the trio who turned the music world’s spotlight on the Seattle grunge scene, is featured on the concert compilation “From the Muddy Banks of the Wishkah.” The 16-song LP, which samples various shows from 1989-1994 and includes staples like “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and “Heart-Shaped Box,” captures the late Kurt Cobain’s urgent passion.
It’s a fine companion piece to 1994’s “Unplugged.”
