Three brothers cope with growing up in the hostile environment of 1968 Glasgow in this import. At the hub of the story is Lex, a 13-year-old caught up in gang warfare after foolhardily shooting a ruffian in the eye with an air gun. Lex, who strives to emulate his brothers in the absence of a father, finds pranks can lead to tragedy.
This slice-of-life film paints a grim, engaging portrait. Rated R.
