Prince’s notorious “Black Album,” which was pulled at the last minute seven years ago, has finally been released. Extremely funky, the disc is the most jam-oriented of the reclusive artist’s career and will delight those who enjoy dance music peppered with ingenious touches and twists.
The LP shows Prince at his darkest (“Bob George”), silliest (“Dead on It”) and most tender (“When 2 R in Love”).
