Among his career highlights are being in the first formation of Rick James’ Stone City Band and co-writing the classic, “Mary Jane,” also playing in Philip Bailey’s protege group, Splendor, and assisting his brother, Bobby Nunn, with his two successful 1980s solo albums, one of which contained the synth-funk banger, “She’s Just a Groupie.”
Nunn was enshrined in the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame in 2015.
Note: Billy Nunn passed away March 2024, RIP. The legacy lives on.
