Featured in TIR Episode 204: Darryl Gibbs, saxophonist, composer and producer best known for his contributions to R&B/funk/dance band Crown Heights Affair. Founded in 1967, the band went on to release nine studio albums from 1974-1983, with a half-dozen reaching the R&B Top 50. The group’s six Top 40 R&B singles included “Dreaming a Dream,” “Every Beat of My Heart,” “Foxy Lady,” “Dancin’” and “Dance Lady Dance.” Other acts Gibbs played with include Made in U.S.A., the Strikers and Zinga.
