Featured in TIR Episode 247: (2 parts): Drummer Jim Wright, the younger brother of famed former Parliament-Funkadelic and Parlet singer Debbie Wright. Growing up immersed in the world of P-Funk, he was mentored by and performed with legendary band members, he was Parlet’s original leader and appeared on records by that group, as well as solo projects by Bernie Worrell and George Clinton.
Jim Wright, who came to be known as Jay-Double-You!, also worked as a sessions player for United Sounds Recording studio owner Don Davis, he has released several very funky albums under his own name and remains musically active today.
