Featured in TIR Episode 256 (2 parts): Singer Melba Moore – an iconic entertainer who has left a lasting imprint as a recording artist, a Broadway performer, and in television and film. First gaining acclaim in the late 1960s in the original stage cast of the rock musical “Hair,” she released her first album in 1970.
From 1976 through 1990, her vocal talent and style carried seven albums into the Top 40 of the R&B charts and she notched more than 20 Top 30 R&B singles, including the No. 1 hits “A Little Bit More,” with Freddie Jackson, and “Falling.”
And she is not done yet, not by a long shot. Teaming up with her daughter, Charli Huggins, she has a new album out called Imagine, where she continues to share her gifts.
