Oakland-based R&B trio Tony Toni Tone has always walked the line between derivation and blandness vs. invention and passion. “House of Music,” the band’s fourth album (and possibly last since they’ve disbanded), is largely an agreeable set with both bedroom gems and dance floor jams.
With nods to Al Green, the Stylistics, Michael Jackson and others, this LP will have you saying, “That reminds me of…”
