From 1986 onward, he appeared on nine Prince studio albums and two live albums, and also worked with associated acts The Family, Madhouse, Sheila E, Jill Jones, Chaka Khan, George Clinton, Mavis Staples, Wendy and Lisa, Kid Creole and the Coconuts, Carmen Electra, Tevin Campbell, Margie Cox, the New Power Generation, Mayte and Rosie Gaines.
He has also released three solo albums and participated in reunited Family albums and shows under the name fDeluxe. The brother of former James Brown and Prince tour manager Alan Leeds, a previous TRUTH IN RHYTHM guest, in 2017 Eric teamed with Paul Peterson – another past guest on this show – on a project titled, No Words.
